It has been a while since the last time I looked into CRDTs or Conflict-free Replicated Data types. The name is pretty descriptive in that you want data types that replicate in a conflict free manner such as distributed counters, sets and maps.

I found a really good resource on learning about CRDTs from a fundamental standpoint, which could help in building your own CRDTs that no one has. Lars Hupel's CRDTs

The way it talks relates abstract math to how certain CRDTs work is very easily read. 'Here is a lattic...

Excellent comedian with spectacular delivery. I just can't agree more with everything he said. It all delivered funny but very true.

When he talked about Japanese-Americans' rights being taken away only because of what they could not control (affiliation to Japan) I was like hmm, sounds like racism. You know the one where people look at you, know nothing about you and assume you are bad. "The only rights they had was... right this way... to the internment camps."

Microsoft Lists

Google Tables

Microsoft is more focused than Google in this area though. Geared towards TODO lists, so more of a Monday competitor.

Google Tables seem a little more based on sheets and general for that matter. Looks like a direct competitor to AirTable and Monday and... Microsoft LIsts if you decide to use it that way.

I'm still chugging away at my keyboard on my competitor product from time to time. I'm glad I can use it for free. Looking forward to putting one out there near the end of the yea...

My god...

I sign up/in with ID.me to make it easy to sign in to a MySSA account and what do you know... It works. Great. End of story right?

Ha! I tried to request a replacement SS card and it can't verify my address. Did it a couple of times over 2 days.  Banned for 2 months from making those requests.

Ah ok, let's call in because surely their address verification system sucks. You'd think they'd have USPS address verification right? Go figure.

Agent tells me some blah blah about new address vs tax. Maaaam, I...

The period of polygamy

Some interesting quotes

Wherever it is widely practised, polygamy (specifically polygyny, the taking of multiple wives) destabilises society, largely because it is a form of inequality which creates an urgent distress in the hearts, and loins, of young men.

In the West polygamy is too rare to be socially destabilising. To some extent this is because it is serialised. Rich and powerful men regularly swap older wives for younger ones, thus monopolising the prime reproductive years of...

Lots of regurgitation I see online about how texting should only be used for this and that. I guess if you are a mindless robot sure. The realization is that people suck at writing, fail and then spread belief that writing sucks, so only connect in person... As if one has never seen the horror stories of meeting in person. 🙄 Most go nowhere. It doesn't matter what you do especially if it doesn't follow your intention or energy projection.

If one is looking for a connection, especially nowadays, one will text...

I'll keep it short. First tech related post in a while too.

I never used peer dependencies because I did not understand the point. It never installed the library I wanted! So it made no sense to me.

I kept running into a problem with certain libraries that require use of a singleton instance that caches data. When multiple dependencies use the same library then they will all have their own version of the library which obviously causes unforeseen issues.

There are libraries out there like Class Transformer that...

for wanting to replace a Supreme Court Justice in an election year. Fucking turtle looking flip flop!!!!!!!!!!

RIP Ruth Bader Ginsburg. You really did try your best.

I've been listening to Jennette McCurdy's podcast on YouTube. Uhh, not a podcast app because PS4 has YouTube.

This one is probably my favorite so far and connects with everyone. Everyone "loses" in someway at some point and coming to terms with that is important. Keeping stuck in a rut for an extended period of time is not healthy nor helpful to yourself.

Speaker here specifically says "Think about you life as a series of chapters and someday someone is going to read this book ... Chapters of my life were fi...

Pro black for them doesn't mean Anti-White. We will see how this goes over the next 30 - 50 years.

It is sad when you feel like you need homogeneity in order to create a safe space. Whites have been doing it for years, so it is not surprising that blacks want it too! If there is anything a white racist should support is this as it would effectively cordon people they don't want away from them, so they continue to have their safe ...
