  • Some People Connect Better Through Text

    |
Updated at Sep 24 2020 at the 13th hour

Lots of regurgitation I see online about how texting should only be used for this and that. I guess if you are a mindless robot sure. The realization is that people suck at writing, fail and then spread belief that writing sucks, so only connect in person... As if one has never seen the horror stories of meeting in person. 🙄 Most go nowhere. It doesn't matter what you do especially if it doesn't follow your intention or energy projection.

If one is looking for a connection, especially nowadays, one will text...

  • Stinging Insults that go over my Head

Jokes that I thought were funny, but actually sting. It's not until you see the reaction that you know well that did not go well. Maybe an apology was done off camera.

The most stinging joke was the "maybe (sic) work somewhere else." Not something you wanna hear joke or otherwise especially from higher up on the food chain. The not so funny jokes (do not think they were jokes) about culinary school though were douche and snobby.

This video only shows a guy being out of touch on several occasions. It doesn't ...

  • USA Road to Depression

    1. A proposed definition: from Wikipedia

    2. a decline in real GDP exceeding 10%, or
    3. a recession lasting 2 or more years.

Seeing lots of closures and the US government prop up businesses that would otherwise declare bankruptcy makes me wonder how long the recession is going to last.

USA has given up on controlling the spread given all the state re-openings. States saw numbers were declining economically, so screw it. The number of SARS COV2 cases did not decrease significantly enough to justify any re-openings. That'...

  • I'll move away from Master / Slave terms wherever

    |
Updated at Jun 17 2020 at the 19th hour

Never really thought about master/slave terms until it was brought up during one of the Uberversity for nUbers. Course teacher talked about how some teams were trying to pick names for these two terms. Some terms were Queen / Princess, Leader / Follower and Primary / Replica.

I thought it was inconsequential, but I figured I would avoid domineering terms in whatever I made. Master / Slave isn't helpful abstraction or naming wise anyway. It is a big big meh from me. I like the terms leader, follower since fol...

  • The More I See How Information is Managed on Social Media

    |
Updated at Jun 01 2020 at the 13th hour

The more, I feel like bringing my own social media product to the world. It is insane how bad information is spread with no good avenue on policing this shit. I'm glad I waited since I've seen how Twitter and Facebook handle the decisions of past. Can't blame them too much. Twitter is doing a better job, especially with moderating Trump, with public information. Facebook is relies on privacy filters. Both have issues, but they are not good for managing information. I don't think it is challenging to fix the...

  • If you have to ask "What do the protesters want?"

    |
Updated at Jun 01 2020 at the 00th hour

You are a bad leader and must never be a leader.

If you cannot dig deep into your knowledge about how protests start and you think there is only one single goal that unites them. You live in an Ivory Tower.

The George Floyd protests didn't spark only because one guy died at the hands of a bad cop. You can clearly see where American policing has changed with their attitude towards their communities.

Some police are doing well and taking advantage of the massive PR campaign and others are feeding into the case...

  • Foreign Electronic Business In China is a Fool's Venture

    https://techcrunch.com/2020/05/24/work-collaboration-unicorn-notion-is-blocked-in-china/

Notion didn't contribute to social unrest in China, but hey let's arbitrarily block it. Is it arbitrary though?

The block was instituted only to defend copy catting in China. There's nothing wrong with copy catting as long as you don't steal code as far as I see it.

I don't see anything wrong with some guy who decided to see if he could figure out how something was built and make it available in his home country because it...
