  • Framework 13 With AMD Ryzen 5 is My First AMD Laptop

    |
    Updated at

It's a serious performance beast vs my old Intel 10th Gen Dell laptop and a 2018 Xeon Server which are both bigger than this Framework laptop. Geez man, woooooo, it run laps around these things. 3m compiling a Rust Project that took 20m+ on the 2018 Xeon Server. Almost 10x improvement right there.

I didn't even buy it for performance either. It was the cheapest spec and very low TDP like near Apple M1 TDP. I bought it to replace my Xeon server because it's about time to replace it. I wanted to buy another se...

I will find out who is doing this shit from all the places that I have visited in the Healthcare system and file suit against them. It's illegal especially under State law. I will absolutely sue these dumb fucks. Most likely it was a company in Texas given the incorrect address.

Dip shits. Pieces of literal shit. Scum fucks. Fucking criminals.

  • The Problem With Multiplayer: Community

    |
    Updated at

There aren't many multiplayer games doing this VERY important feature correctly. Community is how you increase engagement with games. I mean other than the fun factor. I haven't seen many games do multiplayer social features well. Most games just throw people into matches game after game. No consideration for you might want to play with some group of people again.

No not the way they currently do it where you have a "good" game and play next match again. This is a terrible way to go about it. What they expec...

  • Bad Workers? What About Bad CEOs?

    |
    Updated at

Tend to see articles about the damage that bad hires can cause, but never about bad CEOs who have more impact on company finances and your job stability. What is the rate of bad worker hires to acceptable worker hiresย  and bad CEO hires to acceptable CEO hires? How about the exit package for a CEO?

They say firing a CEO after hiring them once realized they are not good is a bad look and costly for a company. For some reason, a CEO is hired in and giving an exit package not tied to their performance, yet the ...

  • It's a Travesty The State of Health Care When There's Tons of Data Out There

    |
    Updated at

The fact that little to no doctors look at smart watch data when these things are active sensors with people day in and day out. There's a treasure trove of data that would help diagnose and prevent issues.

I have to question the credentials of every single doctor when they don't look at this data. Primary Care doctors should be the first ones to seek this kind of data when they cannot figure out whats going on. It's a real travesty, the idea that one can look at watches on people's wrists and not have any s...

  • When I was Younger, I Used to Do This A Lot

    Updated at

Set a direction, not a goal and just keep going.

It's not like I thought of every direction as a learning opportunity and it's not like I was training to embrace failure. If failure occurred there was always a way to adapt to a different direction. Some times that meant re doing large parts of code, but there was generally no reason to quit overall.

It makes sense as a self taught programmer who had little to some clue what they are doing. Just do it was the innate mantra. Failure was part of the journey not ...

  • Man Passed Out in His Car Mysteriously and Car Goes Off Road

    |
    Updated at

Imagine that, man drives car like normal day and all of a sudden loses consciousness. Was not doing too well driving his car. Dizziness, nausea, etc.

Given American's medical system, what do you think they did? ๐Ÿ˜… Surprisingly, his doctor in the ER found that he has Orthostatic Hypotension from a hereditary condition. MRI, Tilt table, etc. Apparently, you need to crash your car to actually get good treatment. His health insurance though, ha, didn't pay much not surprising.

Surprisingly didn't just call it "anx...

They focused more on African American boys than anyone else, which irks me, but I suppose you have to grab attention some way.

I wasn't even planning on watching it all that much as I started it and skipped like 10 mins of it then left it on and it captured my attention. Some documentaries have a way of doing that, so i reset from the beginning just to see how it starts. It's not bad.

I'm a supporter of putting people outside of their environment as a way to instill in them growth and open mindedness. Exposur...
