Psychos
The word that makes me think of SOAD song Psycho. It also reminds me of why I stay away from drugs even the prescribed ones unless absolutely necessary.
You never know when you are dealing with one. You sometimes write off red flags because you just want to accept people for who they are. The problem is when you become the target of their ire, they will never no matter what you do just stop and think for a second. They don't care. They spin the truth even when presented with facts. They manipulate whoever th...

The Time Has Come For INTC. It's being replaced by NVDA on the DOW 20
I said it before on here, Intel will be replaced on the DOW and it has come. I have a knack for future sight!
Article:
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/11/01/nvidia-to-join-dow-jones-industrial-average-replacing-intel.html💥 I personally don't know how NVDA will keep it's current valuation as it is sky high for the future, but being part of the DOW inflates a stock so NVDA is about to be more inflated while INTC deflates when reweighing occurs.

Turns out the Total Length of Capillaries in a Human is 9,000-19,000km. Not 60,000mi or 100,000km.
The usual parroting of "60,000 miles of Blood Vessels" and "100,000km of Blood Vessels" is incorrect. Medical "knowledge" or "fun facts" is flawed like any other.
These guys went through the trouble to verify the source and found it was only a fun calculation by an expert at the time in 1929. Yes, a fun calculation just like the BMI number.
You have to appreciate people who dig down to find out how people don't cite sources for what they quote = plagiarism + bad information. You'd think if someone quotes even...

Taiwan Will Be Part Of One China
I was reading about presidential elections around WW2 and of course that included past history of some of the issues that persist to today.
"All of Truman's advisers saw the events in Korea as a test of American will to resist Soviet attempts to expand their power, and their system. The United States ordered warships to the Taiwan Strait to prevent Mao's forces from invading Taiwan and mopping up the remnants of Chiang Kai-shek's army there."
Stuck out because we are still dealing with the aftermath of WW2, K...

YouTube has Overzealous Comment Moderation
I made a comment "The sheep vote for their butcher"Â on a video recently that really resonated, enough that people used it outside of YouTube. The thing is, it took me several rephrases of trying to say the same darn thing without auto moderation destroying my original comment. I mean maybe thanks to YouTube for auto moderating that I could even get that particular form of phrasing. It's annoying nonetheless.
The video was about gRump supporters who knew nothing about what they were voting against. They are t...

Open AI Models Getting Better At Coding Tasks
I'm a use any tool that helps you kind of person, so I like GPT-4o and Claude for coding tasks, but open models are getting much better. Problem is models like GPT and Claude require an internet connection. Open models like LLaMA 3.2 does not, which confers benefits for employees at companies looking to increase their productivity.
Here are several Leaderboards measuring code model performance:

Breathing Exercises and Narrated Short Stories + Personal Voice = Unlearn Stress. A Stress Reduction App
I got a new app out on iPhone. Google is busy dragging their feet.
So around Q1 2024, I found that a Shaman breathing exercise had been the most effective exercise for lowering stress levels. I call it Shaman because of where it was inspired from. I usually did it about 45 minutes to 60 minutes consistently at first, it took time and patience to be able to do it for 60 minutes in one sitting. I always found my heart rate going down and heart rate variability going back up overall.
Recently started doing it ag...

Education Loans are NOT Dischargeable
It's a hard lesson in not reading the contract for many young adults. You can take out loans for other things here and there and have them discharged, but education loans? No way, you are trapped forever. That's what happens when you have "conservatives" in government "protecting" the loaner, oh wait yeah, the government is the loaner.
President wants to forgive loans and a shitty corrupt paid for "conservative" Supreme Court decides no, but they were happy to grant the president a helluva king power recentl...

You could learn something from narrated short stories. Even if those stories come from Reddit. Obviously, not a book story, but someone's experience with a situation.
Like what? They left you at your home alone going on a vacation without saying anything as they desired to live in your home, your father's new wife told you to clean your own home, you call them and they act like complete and total utter sh*t, but still desire to live with you? It screams bloody red flags. The lack of even saying anything abou...

American Nursing Homes are Shit
Not much for me to say, everything's covered in the below video. UGH!
I would love to say find the right one, but how do you know you are getting into the right nursing home? You OBVIOUSLY need to do research, but outside of that how do you find the best one? Why are the worst ones so bad as if there is no bottom? Supposedly the FREE MARKET is supposed to create competition where you provide the service everyone wants at a competitive rate therefore there would be a bottom with regards to basic care in...
