I want a tablet that acts like a notebook. I haven't been interested in tablets like iPad or Android Tablets because they are just a scaled up version of a smartphone. The only tablets I have ever bought have been Wacom drawing tablets. Sure, iPad and Android tablets now have pens, but can't say I've been interested in them.

I jumped on the hybrid laptop train really early in the lifecycle when I was in college for the 4 years with Dell and Lenovo hybrids. Lenovo x220t was probably the best one I owned. Thes...

Especially for Investigative journalism and war coverage.

Did Twitter break the story on George Santos? Fuck no.

Some might say "legacy news writes about posts with lag time". Isn't it a shock that with the kind of reach and trust that a news outlet has that they'd want to attempt verification first rather than repeat potential BS by bots? News outlets aggregate sources and attempt to broadcast an article or story.

Elon Musk replied to a Tweet that asserted 'Hooters is shutting down and rebranding because of M...

I read this article (https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-hardcore-twitter-culture-inspires-fellow-tech-founders-2022-12) that talked about people who call themselves founders looking up to Musk. Lol, imagine that being a SHEEP "founder" instead of being someone who leads own their own terms given every company has a different set of input and output parameters.

If "founders" or "investors" have been waiting for someone to push back on "cushy conditions" as Bill Gurley said then I'd say you've already f...

With Elon Musk doing stupid shit with Twitter, I've decided to move up the timeline for Dayolog. The next generation social discussion software. The mission is to bring stability and control of forums, communities small and large back to users as well as giving them an actual town square without the overbearing central overlord moderator. This is combined with my initial desire to bring comments back to websites and the details of how will be more clear soon. I have high motivation and really great ideas on...

This blog used to be powered by Sapper, but the project got cut for some reason by Svelte Team. Replacement SvelteKit, which to be honest is a stupid fucking name, was used for a while for my new products before their major changes that involved routing changes.

So I dropped it and went to Lit.dev, which if you ask me is so much better combined with router-slot. There's no enforced bull shit like Sapper or SvelteKit and the performance is snappy AF. Google discovers everything like it were run on the server ...

20 yr lifespan. 10 bucks. Never know when you'll need it. Might as well be prepared. Buy multiple and store them away.

Next pandemic, war, natural disaster, stuck in a cave or woods may strain the world's supply again so buying long lasting emergency kits and food rations are an investment for your survival. You'll thank yourself when something unexpected happens and you have these left to nibble on.

Now that I think of it, buying food rations could be a good way to save mo...

With your money or Crypto especially in an unregulated sector. It is your responsibility to take your cryptocurrency out and put it into a wallet where you own the keys. I was never affected because my crypto, my wallet.

With cron jobs running background services that can take a burst of memory 1GB servers are useless. Fedora runs dnf-makecache which does some bs that causes too much memory to be used and OOMs which takes down the mmiddle man connection to this site. Guess I'll be turning off this server and replacing it with a beefier one...

I get annoyed at too much information in presentations. Use links or keywords to direct people to more information.

I also get annoyed at long presentations.
