  • Gemini 3.1 Pro is Out

Updated at Feb 19 2026 at the 21th hour

Hmm, I'm still feeling it out, but it appears to plan more and ask if it is good, which is a huge improvement over Gemini 3 and behavior more consistent with Gemini 2.5 Pro. Gemini 3 Pro was a significant regression, put plain and simply. It was a bad release. I'm hoping Gemini 3.1 Pro just does not generally rush to code, that was just the worst part of Gemini 3.

    So far so good.

  • Microsoft's MAI-Voice is so Crisp. Probably the Best Text To Speech yet.

Microsoft just released a ground breaking Text To Speech (TTS) model and I'm super impressed by how crisp it sounds. It's not robotic at all and can express a variety of styles.

I used it to generate some announcement/marketing audio, that I can't say I will use in the future, but definitely helps guide the direction of what expressions I want to have in a advertisement.

I was initially confused at why it was saying a bunch of things when I put in "Hi" ...

  • Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro has been Nerfed... Beyond PhD Level to Undergrad

Updated at Aug 24 2025 at the 23th hour

Gemini 2.5 Pro March Exp edition was effectively Gemini 3, it was a hell of a leap. The Gemini of today is definitely Gemini 2.5.

Man Today's Gemini 2.5 Pro has gone down hill. It is just so bad, like holy f**k.

When Gemini first released in March 2025, I can't say I was excited due to past experiences with Gemini, but when I got it writing code and managing a codebase with it, I was excited. Excited enough to go create a plethora of non-trivial software in Rust. Gemini was just so good at understanding and e...

  • Gerrymandering is Government for the Government. It must be destroyed.

Updated at Aug 21 2025 at the 00th hour

A Government that chooses its voters will never give up that power. There is only one way to solve that and it is the same with kings and queens. That government must be torn down, burned and rendered without aid.

Gerrymandering is a systemic process by legislators to choose their voters, it's that simple. That is not government by the people for the people. The Texas State Government does not represent its people and must be destroyed in its entirety. Its constitution must be rewritten.

    LEGISLATORS SHOULD NE...

  • MRNA is Below $25 Now Lining Up With Buy Range...

Updated at Apr 04 2025 at the 14th hour

I said in a previous article about $19 - $25 being a good buy range. Might have to lower it to $15 - $21.

But I wouldn't buy right now given the uncertainties around international trade. It's possible a depression could occur. A prolonged recession is a depression.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you want to elect unpredictable people and not caring about politics. People took politics for granted like they did in Germany in 1930s, they all figured nothing bad would happen and that it was all RHETORI...

  • Beyond Reactionary Politics: It is Urgent for Democrats to Adapt and Realign for State-Level Success

    |
Updated at Mar 11 2025 at the 18th hour

Part 1 Democrats don't know who they're fighting against

Part 2 How Democrats Can WIN, Really WIN.

Democrats want to win, but they face defections into the Republican Party. I don't think Democrats understand that they are on the unpopular side of things and they have only won elections in the 21st Century by the means of being the only major opposition party. They win only by reactionary votes, which will keep dwindling as time goes on.

Let's look at party switching to see what's going on there.

    Switches by De...

  • How Democrats Can Win, I'm Talking about WIN

Part 1 Democrats don't know who they're fighting against

Part 3 Beyond Reactionary Politics: It is Urgent for Democrats to Adapt and Realign for State-Level Success

I wanted to expand on how Democrats could win not just 2026, but the New World Order. The old one is dead or least least mortally wounded.

Stopping National Conservatism at the state level is the single most important goal to winning. This must be at the heart of every state Democratic Party. It cannot be emphasized.

The way to stop NatCon at the st...

  • Microsoft Study Claims AI Use Reduces Critical Thinking

Updated at Feb 15 2025 at the 14th hour

    Microsoft Study: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/uploads/prod/2025/01/lee_2025_ai_critical_thinking_survey.pdf

This Microsoft Study involved self reporting, so it isn't a robust unbiased study on the effects of using AI, but I have impressions.

I think we engage less with the work because it looks good enough and that's expected. We do the same when we accept work from other people. LGTM is basically that.

It's like a factory without QA. Workers will typically accept good enough work from machinery ...

  • Is Moderna Stock a Good Buy?

    |
Updated at Feb 12 2025 at the 05th hour

Moderna (MRNA) COVID vaccine unlocked quite a market opportunity back in 2021. MRNA vaccines are quicker to develop therefore quicker to get to a trial cheaply. It was and is super effective against COVID. Looking back at the stock price, it went up to stratospheric heights, 400 a share? Today it is around $30. I ask myself is it a good buy? Personally I think so.

I get it, MRNA's revenues still haven't stabilized, it's on a decline. Consider that we are currently on a trend of vaccine fatigue. It's a histor...

  • NVDA Stock Dump I Think was Caused By Insider Trading, Not DeepSeek Reveal

    |
Updated at Jan 28 2025 at the 04th hour

Insider trading in that some group of people knew Trump would put out a proposal or whatever to tariff TSMC chips among other in some weird effort to bring back chip manufacturing. It takes years to build such a factory and years to ramp up. A tariff is dumb, damaging and a self own to American companies.

DeepSeek was revealed last week, why would "traders" who are supposed to understand quickly and trade against the future wait exactly one week after reveal to dump NVDA stock? I think it's insider trading g...
