  • "F-ing Market, Stock Prices keep Eluding Me"

    Updated at October 26, 2020 at the 17th hour

    Sometimes I feel like the Stock Market is fucking rigged, to borrow a page out of tRump's book.

    It is an emotional rollercoaster with stocks at least when day trading. I look for valleys in stocks to see if I want to buy in and sell quickly in the same day session.

    I saw primarily G and F (just first letter of the stocks) being highly volatile, so I day traded those to the fucking moon. I then tried to get into other fucking stocks and lost my gains then I'd get back into G and F and gain my gains back, but then invest not so much relatively into a stock that had an earnings call at market close before it dove down! Motherfucker. Lose some gains and then again get back into G and F to gain it all back.

    I was pissed every time this shit happened. WTF.

    I recently started to say fuck it if the market is rigged, I'm going to do buys at smaller doses as the stock gets close to what I think is a valley to make sure I can capture or lose smaller value. It seems to work better as a...

  • "The One"

    Updated at October 26, 2020 at the 11th hour

    Why does "The One" matter? Oh yeah, humans and animals have a duty to procreate. The spiel of the simple "meet someone, fall in love, get married, buy a house and have kids" creates that hole from childhood. "The One" would fill that hole. This implies L.T.R.

    Spent time over the years thinking about that hole and trying patch it up with duct tape as I realize I don't need to do any of those things to be happy. "The One" isn't that one you'd find and marry (or common law) the first time unless you are extremely lucky or tolerant. Each one is a roll of the dice.

    There's a difference in "The One" for everyone just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They are moving targets as well. Sure you could be happy now that you found someone who could be "The One", but will you continue to be? Needs shift as life progresses and you meet new people and do new things as well as shed people and old things. As that shift happens, needs for happiness shift. Typically, you'll work through it (Talk, Therapy, etc.) and find ways to change "The One" to...

  • Really Good Extensive Intro to Stock Option Trading

    Updated at October 25, 2020 at the 15th hour

    I wouldn't do it right now, but I've been more curious about learning more about options. Buy/Sell of stocks is already risky, options trading is far more intense (price volatility and expiration). Make the wrong call and the money you put in can be fucked. The right call though will put you at significant gain. Would expect to make more wrong calls than right though.

    I'm sure many, if not all, firms will put it in bold that most lose money investing and you will too at your own risk.

    I found this guide very good, but I will stick to day trading to cover monthly expenses. 😅

  • Pussy Cop Makes Up Bullshit to Arrest an Upstanding Citizen

    Updated at October 25, 2020 at the 13th hour

    Ugh, this one happened in Dec 2019, before all the protests. Seriously, some copp-ers you cannot please. This guy was way too chill for this cop. The whole time he was standing in front of this cop. Cop keeps making shit up on camera: "you tried to initimidate me by standing behind me." "He was speaking over me." "I believe this woman is in a mental crisis."

    Seriously, some bosses need to figure out what the fuck is going on with their rookies first before wasting time with this bullshit. This is just money granted to both if they do and did decide to sue.

    Definitely a tRump cop. Dial up the drama to spur a violent arrest. Gotta meet that quota.

    Then police wonder why defund (some welcome it as it means less on their plate) a.k.a. divert money towards the kind of people who can help. Defund is a good opportunity for all police depts to invest in resetting and building community relations for the long term, so they can be generally trusted rather than be pushed aside.

    Hmmmm, I feel like this should be one of the most visible articles on Wikipedia. It is news, but very boring news that I'd want. I might consider adding it to the front page of this site mostly as a reminder to myself.

  • Fixing Gradle Javadoc task failure when using Java Modules

    Updated at October 20, 2020 at the 08th hour

    You may be familiar with this shitty error probably using Gradle 6.7:

    Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: class java.lang.String cannot be cast to class java.util.List (java.lang.String and java.util.List are in module java.base of loader 'bootstrap')

    You likely have this in your afterEvaluate block:

    javadoc {
      inputs.property("moduleName", moduleName)
      doFirst {
        options.addStringOption('-module-path', classpath.asPath)

    You can fix it with:

    javadoc {
    inputs.property("moduleName", moduleName)
    options.modulePath = classpath.asList()
  • Don't Go to Doctors who Measure your BMI

    Updated at October 20, 2020 at the 05th hour

    Anytime a doctor measures my BMI, I say this doctor is a hack and never go to the same doctor again.

    Here's an NPR story on why BMI is literal bullshit: https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=106268439

    Yeah, it is a fucking hack that takes no other things to measure. Lol, because waist size just does not matter apparently. Imagine being full of muscle, but being told by your robot doctor that you are obese. LOL 😭🤪

    BMI = (Weight in Pounds x 703) / (Height in inches x Height in inches). WTF is this equation? Height ^2? really? Whats the 703 constant all about? Might as well make my own statistic too.

    I never repeat visits to doctors who measure my weight and calculate a BMI. I'm not going to argue with them how fucking stupid it is and that what they are doing is a scam to trick people into bullshit. I don't know maybe next visit they'll sell you a lose weight drink. Guess I'll never find out.

    I suppose when you have Harvard articles like https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/how-useful-is-the-body-mass-index-bmi-201603309339, then it is not a surprise some doctors use BMI to actually determine your body fat..

    BMI is bullshit and there are likely better...
