  • Goals for 2024

    |
    Updated at

Missed my goals for 2023, unfortunately, but made unexpected progress in a different direction with Atlas Fury. Didn't have plans to do it, but hey that's where I am. 3 mobile games is the 2024 target.

    Roadmap

    Feb 2024: Atlas Fury iOS

    Mar 2024: Atlas Fury Android

July 2024: Hi Stakes Game on both iOS and Android

Dec 2024: Untitled Space Game Single player game. Multiplayer version in 2025.

These are targets given optimistic conditions. 2023 wasn't optimal. I want 2024 to be optimal so I can release these.

  • Atlas Fury, Incredible Progress and Last Build of the Year 2023

    |
    Updated at

Added a new special weapon, pretty much has to do with black holes, and one more to go!

Starfang Striker is inspired by Starfox just more wolf than fox. Probably should've called it StarWolf. This play was close though, was close to death as you can see the few times I started playing more conservatively rather than just freely getting hit.

Never thought I'd get this far so quickly. It didn't register to me that I could make something like this in 2 months so far. Godot Engine played a big factor in that. The...

  • Atlas Fury's Release Draws Near

    Updated at

The latest build is promising. SURGE really has impact! and look at all those bouncy carrots.

Did I say this was a wacky game? That's how it started off. Always meant to be wacky.

Feb 2024 - IOS Release. March 2024 Android Release.

I've already figured out the next mobile casual game that I really like and is casual, space themed and includes a competitive mode (I mean co-op is possible). The game play mechanics are so simple, so it will give me time to figure out the multiplayer aspect. I think casual gamers ...

  • Change Coinbase Address When You are Stuck With Verification

    |
    Updated at

I wanted to change my address on Coinbase for some time now, but every time it would just say "Identity Verification required" blah blah, I would submit the ID and then crickets. Nothing happens. Address doesn't change, nothing changes.

Ok, so i go to Coinbase help and they wanted me to complete an Address Verification thing. I rejected that solution since the address cannot even be changed to verify it in the first place. Like wtf kind of solution is that. No brains man.

  • Atlas Fury, A.K.A. Project Atlas #6, A Godot Game.

    Updated at

The game is really coming alive! I added bananas as a troll item, but man they can be so useful.

I'm experimenting with orchestrating enemies to do different types of movement to get rid of the monotony of just having them follow you. This level is the hardest so far, for sure, but beatable. I'll probably nerf the enemies and take some out of the level since this is a casual game, but I don't mind the idea of having challenging levels with breather levels. I shouldn't be throwing too much at a player.

    I'll tr...

Pretty well done. Close calls! No flawless victory.

Yeeee, this one's in review for Testflight for public testers.

  • Project Atlas #4, A Godot Game. Point of No Return.

    |
    Updated at

Maybe the last post marked the point of no return. Regardless, it's official as of now.

This ship uses orbiting satellites with a laser on them as well as shooting eyes that move in a wave pattern.

All the ships in the game have their own play style which means you can't do the same things you would with another. You cannot stay in one place to win especially as the difficulty ramps up. I try my best to make sure to scale the weapons and the levels, but it won't be perfect. Best to just switch to another ship...

Got to the point where I have a credits screen.

This game is coming soon. January 2024 the earliest considering the work outside of just coding up the game and obtaining art and music. For example, there are ads that I have to get someone to help create.

I'm at the point where I really just have to worry about adding game content and polishing up things. I plan to add some other things, but they are game play features or operating system specific things.

There isn't one day where I don't play this game and smi...

    AMERICCCCCAAAAAAAAA, FUK YEHHHH

Just implemented homing projectiles with detection area. I applied the homing behavior to this USA themed ship's rear weapon. There's other things I implemented since the last post of course. My goal right now is to get all 19 ships and their weapons working then move on to the enemies afterwards start making new levels. Finally move on to UI operations such as unlocking ships and IAP, etc. Once all that is good, work on the special weapons for each ship.

    I'm making sure that t...

I've been working on a 2D space based survivor game using the Godot engine. It's looking really good so far.

Epic MegaGames, known as Epic today, published a game in the 90s called Tyrian. I still play it, but it's known as OpenTyrian today. It's been almost 30 years now since its release. I've been wanting to make a game like it in the past, but haven't been inspired enough to do it. Well, I learned Godot this summer and decided I was going to make Project Atlas and decided I intend to pay homage to Tyrian ...
