Interested in Building your own UAV?

Bam, here’s how to get started. I don’t have the money or time to invest right now.

So you want more space on your SSD.
If you own a SSD, you’ll wonder why does Windows take so much space! I know I always do when I look at my drive space! This is a really annoying drawback of Windows. I think if you’ve wondered about this then you’ve read about it or at least looked into it. Well, I’m not here to discuss why, but how to move some features of Windows to a HDD.
Page file. Ohhh hooo ho, The page file is a BEAST, a HOG! Moving the page file to a HDD seems like a great idea until you read into why moving all of it is a bad idea. ... -
When to use Exception Handling?
This is something programmers have come by: try { // blah } catch( Exception ) { // handle }. The infamous exception handler clause. It is something that can be overused. If I still have code (PHP) that shows my overuse of them, then I’ll post it on github. It might seem better to just never use them, in the context of web programming.
Today, I read a comment on the PHP documentation describing exception handling as a way to handle graceful abortion of your script. That makes sense, of course, but when shoul...

Fedora 16 rc.local and virtualbox
It appears it took me quite a while to figure out how to finally get my shared folder auto-mounted on boot.
I’ll show you the error I got <---- Starting /etc/rc.local Compatibility ^[[1;31mfailed^[[0m –--->. I put the arrows there, but its from /var/log/boot.log saying that it tried to start up rc.local but failed.
This was after I followed these directions.
It specifically says on the Release Notes that you just have to create the file, so why am I following a tutorial? *sighs* Well, maybe it works, I don’t k... -
Extending php’s objects
*This has largely been nullified for my uses due to Traits being implemented into the PHP standard*
*sigh* Long time since I’ve posted… Interesting times with programming languages. Anywho, I’ve been wondering how I could push responsibilities onto objects and further define an object without defining them inside of the class from the start.
So I thought, hey let me create a function that’ll create an array that I could turn into an object like this:
function defineObject($data, $methods){$resultObj = array();

Really cool way to Style Radio Labels
I’ve been looking at ways to style forms in ways without Javascript/jQuery and all that jizz jazz. CSS is the way to go! The goal here is to create button like radio labels, so the assumption here is that the radio circles are hidden and the only indication of a selected radio is the highlighting of the label itself. Let’s get started!START
Alright let’s create one radio and one label:<input id=”radiooooo” class=”formRadio” type=”radio”><label for=”radiooooo” class=”formRadioLabel”>My Radiooooo Label!</label...

Programming for Windows Phone 7
Windows Phone 7 is a sexy OS with a beautiful UI. It is like that hot girl you've been spying on, but haven't bothered to get at because you already have a girl (Android/iPhone). It is sure a wonder. Anyway, yesterday I went ahead and tried the new Mango Developer tools though I did not attempt to use any new features. As much as I could have, it is a logical decision since I've never attempted to build any test application.
First and foremost, I personally think you need to learn about Windows Presentation ... -
What FTP software to use?
It really depends on what you want. If you are the average person, then you want something simple, easy, and on the web because your goal is to just transfer files. If you are a web developer or the equivalent, then you look to external ftp programs because you are too cool and sophisticated for simple, on the web ftp tools. Are there any other classifications? Enterprise developers, users, collaborators? Hah! Sorry, you definitely fall under one of the two classifications stated.
If you are the average pers...

Installing XDebug Painlessly and Using it with PHPDesigner! (Windows Only)
Alright, fans! You are likely to be here not because you are looking for how to install XDebug because there are many other sites that show you how to, even XDebug’s site shows you how to. Heck, they even have a little phpinfo(); analyzer to tell you what dll you need and what to enter into the config. You know what? That’s exactly where I’m going to point you.
XDebug Installation
1. Go to XDebug’s main site.
2. Go to Download/SVN in the horizontal menu. Once you there click “Custom Installation Instructions” ...

Lenovo x201 Tablet sleep issue. [UPDATE]
Let's describe the issue. The situation is when I put my x201t to sleep, it would start its sleep process, but at some point during the sleep process it shuts down erroneously meaning whatever I did would be lost! Even the event viewer loses any files that would have been written to indicate some type of error! Every time this event occurred, there would be a time lapse between the last event before the sleep event until the next time the system boots up. The reason I note this time lapse is because Windows...
