NoMo FoMo is a Chrome extension, Firefox and Edge some day, to filter out distracting content on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
Feels good to finally get this out there. I had the thought in February of this year because of a bullshit Youtuber's video. Just felt so disgusted by his zero calorie video that I wanted to block his channel. Hell I wanted to make sure my browser with never fucking see the guy on any social media. I built the extension to solve that problem only.
Now I feel the problem is rage inducing content out there from right wingers including Fox News that I just don't want to see on Twitter or anywhere. Their content tends to be dogshit, complete garbage gossip and reality distortion. Well I just needed a way to add more users to my extension, so I created a web site/api for adding users to the extension as well as paid plans to make sure the servers get paid for.
I actually did expect to add many politicians and crap, but haha no way. Right wingers, personalities and etc. are my focus. May be controversial, but I don't care. People can fuck off with their controversy.
This is a niche product and absolutely I don't expect that many users for it, but there's an obvious need for personally moderating social content from some people I've talked to.
